Black Stocking Parade (Vintage digest magazine, Jennie Lee cover model)

SKU: 125031

New York: Selbee Publishers, N3, 1963. One issue featuring Jennie Lee (cover, 6pp.), with a few more uncredited models in photo layouts and a centerfold. Jennie "The Bazoom Girl" Lee began her dancing career right after high school, with 42D-28-38 dimensions made herself a must-see on the strip circuit, and inspired Jan and Arnie's 1958 rock n' roll chart-topper ("Jennie Lee'"). No dame of the dance did it with more bounce and flair, and Lee's flair for publicity helped her establish the Strippers' Hall of Fame and Museum (based on her "League of Exotic Dancers" organization). Great layouts of heels, hose, and garters on attractive models, and a good example of the publisher's fetish output (later titles would include more leather, precursors of the bondage themes of the late 1960s). A Lenny Burtman imprint, 36 pp., saddle-stapled, with black-and-white interiors and color wrapper. 8.5 x 5.5 inches (n4 slightly smaller). Very Good plus, light rubbing overall, light spine stress. [2012, Jim Linderman, "Proto-Porn: The Art Figure Study Scam of the 1950s"]. [1999, Steve Sullivan, "Glamour Girls: The Illustrated Encyclopedia," no. 239]. [Book ID 125031] [Digests] [RL]
