Bizarre Books: Eros Goldstripe (20 Vintage Paperbacks, Offutt copies)

First Editions, paperback originals, 12mo softcover, $2.25 and $2.50 cover price, distributed by Global Press and Parliament News, 182pp, perfect-bound, color wrappers, " whip lady" logo. 20 vintage paperbacks, adult erotic novels featuring adult bondage fetish themes.
From the estate of Andrew J. Offutt, noted science-fiction, fantasy, and underground erotica writer. His custom reworked copies, without his usual "Ajo" or name signature, but nearly all with excised leaves replaced with Offutt's typescript on laid-in sheets, a few volumes with only brief notations in holograph ink, and a few without notations. Offutt usually made notations in books as he read them, especially erotica, and this attempt to meld his fantasies and practice methods with published works reveals a deeper respect, or malevolence, for his contemporaries.
This series published by same outfit behind 1950s "proto-porn" digest magazines and several paperback imprints with Eros, ringleader Burtman factors heavily in mid-century underground publishing and free speech trials. Great cover art throughout the series by Ward, early issues with more painted than illustrated covers, and b/w photos instead of illustrations. Ran 1971-[1978], 150+ titles, some issued without internal publisher advertising or order forms. Highlights: The Tormented Mistress, Barbarian Victim, Circus of Cruelty, Queen of Sadistra, and Mistress of Torment.
Very Good Plus, a few slightly lesser, most with excised papers, light rubbing and foxing, lean, a few with ink on the wrapper, over half with spine creases, most with Remainder clip/mark. For consenting, mature audiences, a foundational collection.
Collation upon request.
