Rome, Italy: Edizioni Adriana / Gialli Blu, Circa early 1960s. Issue 9 of the Italian series "Super Poliziesco" (Super Detective), published late 1950s and early 1960s. Terry is probably in her 20s in this photo, with her unmistakable glassy stare and short blonde crop. An uncommon image featuring a mostly clothed Higgins. Like many Italian publishers, models already widely known in the US, like Betty Brosmer and striptease queen Lili St. Cyr, were receiving international recognition by way of translated versions of American crime and romance novels featuring their likeness on the front cover. Models and dancers were "commissioned" for photo shoots for paperback books and even dust jacket art, but many of the images were culled from American publications of years passed.
 
Very Good with light rubbing and toning, and a corner crease to the rear cover and leaves.
