New York, NY: Self published, 1960s. 6 vintage lurid paperbacks, published presumably in the early 1960s, featuring psychedelic photo covers, and no publisher/copyright information present. Probably a fly-by-night producer, featuring a byline on the front covers indicating an English translation of a foreign ("banned") publication. Two distinct production styles are present, one being a pulp stock, the other a glossy stock of text with b/w photos throughout (often irrelevant to the story, often recycled Camera Club photos). Spines and rear panels blank white, no series numbers or dates present. Included in the archive: DISSOLVING - Paris architect stud. Catfight photos. ROGUE WOMEN - Paris, sailor remembers. PROFESSIONAL Charmer - Paris, interracial homosexuals. DESIRE AND HELEN - captive American woman in the Middle East enacts revenge. PLAY MY LOVE - Paris, "nut specialist" sculptor. Lingerie/art study photos. Many paperbacks with bound-in photos do not withstand the test of time, and often the photos and leaves become loose.
