Kamera on Location (First Edition)
Marks, Harrison (photography)
London, UK: Kamera Publications, 1950s. First Edition. B/W throughout, 96pp, 8 x 10 octavo red cloth hardcover. Circa late 1950s, "air-brush" era. Monograph of the British photographer's work in the Hebrides islands with models Pamela Green and Lorraine Burnett, & a third model. Only one model's name is credited, that being Rita Landre, in a picture depicting the elegant blonde walking in the street (Landre was in fact Green in disguise). Marks and these and other models also comprised the magazine issues of Kamera, issued close to the time of this publication. Fantastic high-contrast photography of nudes in the dunes of exotic places, some inconsequential accessories like sashes & nets. Included is a typescript correspondence on stationery from Robert Duncan & Co. of Ontario, Canada, informing a prospective customer of this copy of "Kamera On Location," dated 1959 & signed George F. Neubauer, presumably a secretary or sales representative of the dealer. Letter folded twice. Technical Data page loose but present at the rear, lean, foxing. Very Good, lacking original dust jacket.
