King Kull (First Edition, Offutt's copy, 1967)
New York: Lancer Books, 1967. 73-650, 60c cover price, 224pp. First Edition, paperback original, three stories from "Weird Tales" (1929, 1939) and a few stories completed and edited by Carter. From the estate of Andrew J. Offutt, without his usual stamp "AJoffutt" or signature, but with notations throughout in holograph ink, notably several stories edited by Carter. Offutt was an avid science fiction author noted for "Conan"-themed fantasies, debuted as a published writer in 1951, and wrote 100s of erotic novels pseudonymously as John Cleve, Turk Winter, John Denis, Jeff Moorehead, Opal Andrews, among others. The "Spaceways" series is perhaps his ultimate collaboration between science fiction and erotica. Most institutions without personal material. Very Good, toning, lean, two small signatures loose but present.
