Man's Favorite Pastime (Vintage adult magazine, 1961)

Los Angeles, CA: Phoenix Publications, 1961. V1 N6, 1961; 72pp, B/W/Color throughout, saddle-stapled; distributed by MPS (Marquis?). Vintage adult magazine featuring photography of nude women, presumed second variation of this title, earlier issues credited to Elmer Batters (Roena Publications). Presumably Batters had little to no involvement w/ later issues of MFP (this issue more emphasis on breast than leg). The magazine saw variations over it's run, particularly good mid 1960s. Credited to Jack Richardson at "Cover Girls Models" in Hollywood, fiction throughout from former Vixen 1950s novels.

Bashful blonde covers. Tweeter & woofer fiction, oversized checkers brunette 4pp, low libido, Candy McKay & girlfriends at the bar 8pp/color centerfold, Iris Bristol 5pp, gunfighter Nick Dart, blonde bathing 8pp, Asian women 2pp, reporter fiction, sultry on the couch 8pp, Senorita 4pp, brunette & books 4pp, "The Short Happy Life of a Beatnic" captions, ads (Fax Record Co.).
