Expansive collection of digest magazines, adult illustrated erotica produced by Eric Stanton, largely scripted by Stanton with many stories by his close associate, noted fantasy author and eroticist, Andrew J. Offutt (as Turk Winter). Softcover 12mo, saddle-stapled, b/w throughout, colored stock wrappers, most 48pp, catalog lists at the rear of most (For Stanton Archives, Video, and Winterbooks). Stanton's eponymous mail-order comics magazine depicted female domination, B/D/S/M, lesbian, and flagellation, as well as superheroes, wrestling, torture, macromastia (abnormal enlargement of breasts), transsexuals, leather, and high-heels. Many read like graphic novels while others are presented as illustrations accompanying narrative paragraphs. Various issues have been collected and reprinted by Taschen and recently by Seves (Schiffer Publishing), with less than a handful of institutional holdings worldwide.
