New York: Male Publishing Corp., 1956-59. Five issues of vintage pinup magazines, primitively but solidly bound together at the spines, blank paper spine, wrapper, endpapers; uniformly trimmed. Presumably made by amateur binder or hobbyist, perhaps collected for certain authors/models/artists. SWANK, aimed at fine living, was still using pulp for nearly all of its pages at this time, & photography still non-nude (later issues, 1960s, saw more nudity, & the mag ran from the 40s to today, currently it releases pornographic material). These early issues benefitted from great illustrators like Paul Rader & Arthur Saroff, w/ quality writers & articles.
