The first volume, "The Dark Page" (Second edition, revised, 400pp., Schrader foreword), guides the first edition sources for American films noir, 1940-1949. Second volume, "The Dark Page II" (First edition, revised, 252pp, Maddin foreword), guides the first edition sources for American films noir, 1950-1965. Both signed by Johnson; illustrated throughout in full-color, detailing 160 films. Indispensable noir scholarship.
