The Girl from A.U.N.T.I.E.: The Sky-High Affair, Book One (Vintage adult digest magazine, Greta Thyssen cover, 1967)
New York: Epic Publishing, 1967. Book One, May 1967. 1.50 cover price, distributed by WWNC (World Wide News Co.), presumed a Reuben Sturman publication. Vintage adult digest magazine, featuring front photo of Danish & bubbly Greta Thyssen in shining sequins w/ pistol & silencer, femme fatale in leather on either side of her.
This was a two-part all-women spoof of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E.," influential 1964-68 espionage & crime fiction TV series. Greta stars as "Dew Tell," w/ partners "Lotta Phun," "Madame LaFarge," "Brick Wall." Profusely photo-illustrated, showing Greta & friends w/ various weapons & costuming (really, it looks like the session was more about a trip to the costume store than narration for a spy story). Familiar Eric Stanton dominatrix in cordobes hat, whip, red leather boots. Similar magazines were produced from publishers like Eric Stanton, including many featuring the artwork of Eugene Bilbrew, prominent Black fetish master.
Thyssen appeared in "The Adventures of Hiram Holliday" series (1956), would go on to star in other series, like "Dragnet," "Perry Mason," & films "Bus Stop" (as Monroe's body double), "The Beast of Budapest" (1958), even a cameo in Cassavetes' "Shadows" (1959). A cool collection-worthy item for Thyssen-ists.
