Bridgeport, CT: Vinegar Syndrome, 2016. Two Vinegar Syndrome DVDs. Both security sealed, Wakefield Pool in original shrinkwrap.
Before Poole pioneered the adult homosexual film market of the 1970s and 1980s, he was a ballet dancer, choreographer and director both on TV and Broadway; his first film "Boys in the Sand" (1971) was critically acclaimed, and was one of the first porn films w/ mainstream credibility. Like other independent filmmakers, notably John Waters, Poole enlisted his friends and acquaintances as subjects.
Take One: A Docufantasy (1977), one involving men who tell the camera their erotic desires, and then actually living in elegant, abstract, and experimental scenes, w/ many shot on location at Nob Hill Theater in San Francisco; Moving! (1974), a loop Poole made, newly restored by VS, about a guy who shags two studs at home and on the road.
Peekarama series: Abduction of an American Playgirl (1975), director unknown, starring Darby Lloyd Rains, about a kidnapping and Stockholm Syndrome; Winter Heat (1976), director Claude Goddard, about ex-cons & hostages in snowy cabin.
